RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The recreational activities are designed to ease the comprehensive development in 3-to-12-year-old boys and girls. The main objective is to guarantee the minor’s and the young kid's right to play. These activities are carried out in a play, discovery area known as “Ludoteca”, where the children can unleash their imagination, arouse their curiosity and creativity through games, toys, group dynamcis and workshops. The children have everything they need available at all times, as well as the guidance and company demanded in each game.

The age of the registered students varied depending on the autonomous region where the TNKC centre is, and therefore, on the existing regulations in a particular community. Currently, the regulations include boys and girls from 3 to 18 years old.
The New Kids Club centres accept in their recreational activities only those students according to the strict regulations of each autonomous regions where the centre is located.

AIMS

The recreational activities are carried out in every centre of The New Kids Club with the desire to attain the aims below:
- To do homework in the first place so the kid becomes responsible and diciplined.
- To have fun while learning.
- To develop the children's creativity and imagination through playing.
- To acquire habits of coexistence, order and hygiene.
- To reconcile family life with the parents' schedule and work by supervising the homework.
- To stimulate the child's autonomy.
- To value, develop and improve the child's motor, sensory and manipulative skills.
- To encourage team work with respect and cooperation, as well as communication and listening among the children of different ages, social status or culture.

- Value things and take care of the supplies, facilities and tools the children work with. |
- Solve conflicts.
- Be organized and responsible.

- Arouse the children’s curiosity for art and science through educational workshops.

| We promote recreational activities as an ESSENTIAL PART IN THE UPBRINGING OF OUR STUDENTS. Not only are the “ ludotecas” an area where kids can play, but also an educational room where our children grow up in performing recreational, playful and artistic activities of different kinds; they are always supervised and controlled by qualified teachers. |

The target of all the activites is education and training. Two clearly differentiated recreational activities are to be found at The New Kids Club: one for Pre-school years and the second for Primary. Activities vary depending on the students’ age.

SKILLS AND TRAINING
We regard all the staff in charge of all our students as essential. All of those helping in the recreational activities are qualified adults with expertise. Our teachers must go through a strict selection process. They must show a number of practical skills.
